History in motion. Building the experience for 100 years of Caterpillar
For Caterpillar's 100th anniversary, we were able to design and expand two mobile show units for the international Centennial World Tour. The traveling exhibition brought the history and future of the company to life all over the world. In addition, the tour was accompanied by full service through Europe. The second show unit is touring China, Japan, Australia and neighboring countries. A project that required precision, speed and creative engineering skills in equal measure.
The challenge
- Extremely short time frame for implementation and strict CI requirements, as the project must be uniform worldwide
- Removable interior design. The entire exhibition must be removed from the showroom without leaving any residue after the tour
- Complex international logistics & border formalities. Valuable exhibits from all over the world must cross international borders.
The solution
- Concurrent expansion of both units in double shift operation and close coordination with our American partner MC2 in order to precisely comply with all CI guidelines.
- Development of a modular, completely residue-free expansion concept that enables easy return to the original state after the tour.
- Development of an integrated project team consisting of design, logistics, project management and creation to efficiently coordinate CI requirements, customs processes, logistics and expansion.
